The School Improvement Committee meets throughout the school year to discuss MPATC goals and objectives. The focus of the committee is to recognize and implement strategies for MPATC program development and student achievement
The Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center and Alma Shared-Time Programs are committed to:
- Encouraging expanded career options
- Nurturing the growth of nontraditional and flexible career paths
- Identifying changes that must be made in order to provide graduates with the necessary education and skills, and specific recommendations for implementing those changes
- Developing alternative measures of assessment that will provide authentic assessment of pupils’ achievements, skills, and competencies
- Using technology as a way of improving learning and delivery of service and for integration of evolving technology in the curriculum
- Making available opportunities for structured on-the-job training, such as apprenticeships and co-op education, combined with classroom instruction
- Tapping the benefits of diversity and teamwork for greater opportunity, innovation, and productivity
- Promoting the use of educational development plans for economic and personal self-sufficiency
