Automotive Technology - Alma

In partnership with the ASE Education Foundation the GI-Tec Alma Campus Automotive Program’s mission and purpose is to provide our students with educational experiences that will build a framework from which they can pursue a career in the automotive industry, as well as the skills for possible placement and continuation of their educational goals at the post-secondary level. This program’s goal is to prepare all students for entry level employment with companies that require training in the following areas:

  • Electrical Systems
  • Engine Performance
  • Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles
  • Brakes
  • Steering and Suspension Systems
  • Heating & Air Conditioning Systems
  • Engine Repair
  • Manual Transmissions and Drivetrain

The automotive industry, with all of its separate paths of employment, offers many exciting careers in a field with virtually unlimited opportunities. Through the training and use of equipment common in the automotive industry today, along with A.S.E. master certified instructors, students learn how to diagnose and repair the various systems of today's high-tech vehicles.  Students will also be given the opportunity to prepare for, and take, industry standard certification exams from the State of Michigan, Snap-on, and ASE.

(Automotive Technology is held at the GI-TEC Alma Campus).
